I am looking into purchasing a over/under Charles Daly shotgun for sporting clays. It is a Field III that was made in Italy. Reason why I am asking about it's value and if it's a good gun is because of the price. He's asking $425.00. He had a few other Charles Daly all were made in Japan and were twice the money.

The 601 field model "for the money" Is an Excellent shotgun. It has a rubbed finish on the wood that I believe to be Turkish walnut. It is very smooth but has no applied coating of any kind on the wood. The metal is finished in non glossy black. I have several other more expensive guns and the Daly looks just as good.
